Amjad Horani, MD

Horani’s received his undergraduate and graduate degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He finished a residency in pediatrics at the Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center. During his time at the Hebrew University and Hadassah Medical center, Horani trained in the labs of Eytan Blumenthal and then Rifaat Safadi. Horani then pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in pediatric pulmonary medicine at Washington University and pursued further training in the lab of Steven Brody in airway cell biology.

Horani is currently an assistant professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Cell Biology and Physiology at Washington University School of Medicine where he studies motile cilia assembly and the role of mutations in airway cell and cilia function.
